Grey's Anatomy: Dont Stand So Close to Me

Recent events strain Burke and Cristina's relationship. Mark and Derek must work together when two close-knit brothers seek medical help. One of Meredith's half sisters is admitted to the hospital.

After all that gay-bashing that Isaiah Washington (Burke) did to TR Knight (George), I wonder if it's time that Burke is leaving the hospital? Probably not yet. But hopefully soon! I'm getting sick of the whole "hey my hand is shaking and I dont want anyone to know so Cristina is my cover-up" thing. Can we get over it already?!

The Mark and Derek thing I heard was about a set of twins, who need a nerve transplant in their legs or something. We'll see.

Anyway, a couple days ago I found a rundown of Meredith's Quotes from Greys Anatomy. Oh, Meredith, how I love thee! she is hilarious. I like this one the best:

"Sometimes reality has a way of sneaking up and biting us in the ass. And when the dam bursts, all you can do is swim. The world of pretend is a cage, not a cocoon. We can only lie to ourselves for so long. We are tired, we are scared, denying it doesn't change the truth. Sooner or later we have to put aside our denial and face the world. Head on, guns blazing. De Nile. It's not just a river in Egypt, it's a freakin' ocean. So how do you keep from drowning in it?"

Dont forget to watch ABC's Grey's Anatomy tonight at 9/8c!

And a Recap of last week's GA in case you didnt watch it. from TV Gasm.

Ugly Betty - "Trust Lust and Must"

Last night's episode of Ugly Betty answered a lot of questions to why Betty ( America Ferrera) and Hilda (Ana Ortiz)'s dad Ignacio (Tony Plana) never applied for a green card and was in the US illegally. Betty had found a picture of their mother, who was wearing a wedding ring.. and the person next to her was obviously not their father. Apparently, Ignacio worked as a chef for his mother's former husband (who beat her), and he was secretly in love with her, always hoping that she would look up and notice him. Well, one day she did, and they fell in love. One night as Ignacio listened to her husband beat her and she was screaming and sobbing, he decided to do something. As he stepped in, the ex-husband pulled a knife on him, and Ignacio hit him and hit him and hit him. He and their mother ran away together, never to look back... because Ignacio was a murderer. He never applied for a green card because he didn't want to be sent back.

The Nine: 1.05: "All About Eva"

The Nine was good as always. Not so captivating as some of my other favorite shows, but good nonetheless.

So Nick (Tim Daly) and Kathryn (Kim Raver) suspected Eva (Lourdes Benedicto)of being involved with the bank robbery because:
1. Her ex who was harassing her for money happened to be the same jail at the same time as Randall, the robber.
2. Randall showed Eva preferential treatment... she was the hostage they took outside, they talked to her more, told her to pick up the phone when the cops called, yada yada yada.
3. Eva bought a one-way plane ticket to New Mexico for herself and her son Rickey, scheduled for the day after the robbery. She had changed the date 4 times already (with a $100 penalty each time, and knowing that she was broke, $100 is a lot of money). It shows that the getaway date kept getting delayed and changing.
4. Eva has a prior criminal record.

so these are their explanations:
1. Her ex knew of Randall, but they were not in the same click. Randall hung out with skinheads, who did not associate with his kind.
2. I guess it was just chance.
3. Eva was planning on moving to live with her cousin, but was waiting for Nick to make a move and ask her out. She kept changing the date because Nick kept giving her hope.
4. It was a auto theft charge when she was 19, which was a long time ago.

Well, my questions are: Dont you need to give a two-week notice when you're planning on upping and moving away? She didnt have her stuff packed or ready to go at Franny (Camille Guaty)'s apartment (we saw that when Franny was packing up all Eva's stuff for her), and she didnt tell Malcom or anyone else that she was leaving. That's one bad job reference if she HAD moved away, with no notice.

But I guess it was clarified when they had the preliminary hearing at the hospital and Randall and Lucas did not mention anything about Eva. If she did have a part in the robbery, they would have said something.

So Franny is pissed at Kathryn, Egan (John Billingsley) is annoying as ever, and Felicia (Dana Davis) claims she went to vist Lucas (Owain Yeoman) in prison because she felt they had a connection, that she felt Lucas saved her from Randall. Malcom (Chi McBride) wants to blackmail the corporate office because they are only offering the widow of the security guard a $43,000 settlement.

Lost Ep. 3.05 - The Cost of Living

Wow, last night's Lost was amazing! It was very Eko-centric, and we learned why he built the church on the beach (since he owed Yemi a church when he killed off the warlords). So we learned some stuff about Yemi/Eko, but not too much that we didnt know already. The kid that they got to play the young Eko looked just like him! And then Yemi came to the island, to tell Eko that he needed to confess. But Eko just said that there's nothing he needs to confess. He lived his life the best he could, and he doesnt regret it, nor want to confess. But the Yemi on the island, he's supposed to be dead, and the body was missing from the beechcraft. Is it the smoky monster taking human form? Since Jack's dead dad was also seen on the island, and his body was missing. Does this mean that Walt was dead when Shannon kept seeing him around the island? Maybe he was, and the monster took over his body.. I hope Michael sailed away with a monster that was inhabiting Walt's body.

So the losties went over to the Swan station, only to find that there's another station somewhere that has a mysterious guy with an eye patch. Who is this guy? Docarzt over on The Tail Section says it is NOT the guy with the glass eye who carried around the video in the hollowed out Bible. (source: Lost recap by the doc). And on the subject of the Swan hatch, Paolo and Nikki really bug me. Yes, Nikki is hot, but they are so annoying, and just dont fit in. So after Locke and the gang find Eko inches away from death after being thrown around by the monster, Eko whispers in Locke's ear that "we're next"... I hope it's "we" as in Nikki and Paolo.

And then the whole Ben/Juliet/Jack thing. I'm so confused! Are Juliet and Ben playing mind games, or are they for real? I guess next week Ben will be cut open on the operating table, so we'll see what Jack does...

Anyway, here's a good short overview by my favorite writer over at buddytv (Oscar Dahl):
